Ramon grew up working in the fields of the Palo Verde Valley, located in Riverside County on the border between California and Arizona.
He played 10 different instruments: guitar, requinto, jarana, vihuela, cuatro, string guitar, marimba, upright bass, harmonicas and percussions AND composed most of his own music.
